A Message from David

Hello, and thank you for coming to the Christ Church website. The Music & Arts Ministry of Christ Church is an extensive program with something for everyone. It is a very active and exciting place to be! I hope you will take a few minutes and read the Music & Arts Ministry of Christ Church webpage, which contains a complete listing of musical and artistic offerings. The long-range vision for the Music & Arts Ministry is also posted there.

Christ Church has a long history of celebrating the God's gift of music. For over 200 years, music has been a vital part of our worship celebrations. In 1904, the church hired their first choir director, their first organist, and installed their first pipe organ. For the past 80 years, there have only been 4 music directors. That continuity in leadership is what has kept the program strong for over a century. If you would like to read a brief history of the Music Ministry, click here.

Over 180 people currently participate in the program making it one of the largest ministries in Christ Church. No audition is required for any ensemble. If you enjoy church music of all types and like being involved in worship leadership through participation in an ensemble, then the Music Ministry has a place for you!
