The Growing Place Preschool @ Christ Church is dedicated to the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. Activities are designed to nurture the self-confidence, independence, and creative freedom of each child. Our staff is dedicated to creating an environment in which children can unfold and develop into whole persons to the best of their ability, and enjoy the process while they are growing.
The Growing Place uses a child centered approach with the teacher as a scene-setter and guide. The teachers are responsible for providing opportunities appropriate for each age group and for helping each child discover and learn at his or her own pace. Individual creativity is stressed. We believe art and music play a vital role in the learning process. The preschool is in session September through May.

Class Offerings for 2010 - 2011
(Average student/teacher ratio 4:1)
All Children must be 2 for the Two Year Old class, 3 for the Three Year Old Class or 4 for the WV PreK program by Sept 1, 2010.
Weekday Preschool for Two and Three Year Olds (9:00am-12:00pm)
Programs available up to Five days a week - call for availability
Two Days $120.00/month
Three Days $135.00/month
Four Days $150.00/month
Five Days $165.00/month (Fifth day is Kids Play-see below)
Weekday Preschool (West Virginia Pre-K) for Four Year Olds (9:00am-12:00pm)
In session Monday through Thursday. Tuition is free. Class size is limited to 18 children.
Friday Kids Play (8:30am-12:30pm)
This weekday program is for two, three, and four year olds.It features play, crafts, and other learning fun. Cost is $5.00 per hour for the first child, $3.00 per hour per each additional child with a maximum of $10 per hour per family. Children registered in the Growing Place Preschool preschool receive a discount.
