Children's Ministries

Christ Church is a member of the Child Advocacy Network. Our children's ministries encompass many different focuses in our children's lives.

Children's Ministries Mission Statement

We believe that every child of God should be able to reach his/her potential physically, spiritually and emotionally. Every child should know love, acceptance and encouragement and that they are a child of God.

We offer the following opportunities aimed specifically to our children:

Vacation Bible School - offered in the summer for 4th - 6th grade
Weekday Preschool Program - 2's, 3's, and 4's
Jubilate! Choir Program - levels of music for K - 5th grade
Cub Scout Program - Tiger cubs through Webelos. For more info, contact the church office (342-0192)
Basketball Program - Kindergarten through 12th grade can participate
Children's Library - Filled with kids' books!

On Sunday mornings we offer:

Nursery care - for infants and toddlers for all worship services
Sunday School at 9:45 - Classes exist for 2's through high school
Children's Worship Center - worship bags are available in our Centrum filled with related materials to meet the needs of our youngest congregants along with children's Bibles and storybooks to keep them happy during worship
Moments with Children - weekly sermonettes for children that tie in to the morning's theme. Occur at 9:00 and 11:00 services.

Children's Elementary Sunday School Directory

Because we believe that children need to understand God's love for them as well as God's word we offer multiple ways for our youngest believers to experience their faith during Sunday mornings. To make their faith relevant to them we offer Faithwweaver curriculum along with our newest "J.A.M" series - a creative way to make Christianity alive in their lives. J.A.M. stands for "Jesus and Me" and aligns age appropriate goals for the K-5th grade students. They will earn badges for tasks completed and add these badges to a personal stole. Twice a year we will honor our children's accomplishments.

Outreach and mission are also a part of our children's christian growth experience and we offer quarterly experiences for them to be Christ's hands and feet to those in need in our community as well as around the world.

Children meet in our choir room on the 2nd floor for J.A.M. at 9:45 each Sunday. Sunday School follows at 10 am. The groups are divided into 3 age categories: K-1st, 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.

Nursery Care

Our babies are cared for in our nursery by loving, committed paid staff as well as volunteers. Pagers are available for parents in case of a need to contact them. Our nursery is in room 103 on our preschool level. Nursery care is available for all 3 services.
