Adult Ministries
Adult Ministries encompasses study and support groups to help us in our Christian growth and understanding. Sunday School classes, MERGE, United Methodist Women, and Disciple Bible Series as well as seasonal Bible study groups are all examples of these ministries.
Adult Sunday School Directory
9:45 a.m.
- Benson-Epps Class - A mixed age group makes up this class which studies a variety fo theological questions. They meet in room 205.
- Cana Class - A young marrieds class that focuses on discussion style Bible studies. They meet in Room 209.
- Freeman Class - Middle-aged singles and couples make up this class. Their study focus is West Virginia social issues. They meet in room 206.
- Pathfinders Class - The Pathfinders are a friendly, caring class of couples and singles in their 20s and 30s. The class explores a variety of spiritual and moral issues in an attempt to relate those ideas to our modern lives. Regular social events provide a strong support group. They meet in room 208.
- Women at Church - This class was developed for women who attend church without a spouse, however all women are welcome. They meet in the Library.
Other Adult Activities
U.M.W. (United Methodist Women) - This group participates in a variety of ways. They meet in sub-groups monthly and meet jointly several times a year. They raise monies for local and global missions through an annual Fall Bazaar as well as other fund raising events. Fellowship and study are a major part of their interaction.
Disciple Bible Study - A 34 week course runs from September through May. Class sign-ups will be in August.
M.E.R.G.E. (Ministries: Encouraging Renewing Growing and Educating) - M.E.R.G.E. is a weekly spiritual and personal growth event that runs from September to April. Classes are available for many interests.
Seasonal Bible Study - Lent and Advent are times during our year that we offer neighborhood study groups. The focus is on thematic study.
