If not, maybe it's time to take another look. The library has been re-organized and cleaned as of May 2011. A new library committee has started and is  working hard to improve this wonderful resource.

 

Currently, the library has over 2,300 books in the catalog which is now available on the internet!  Use the following link to search the catalog:

 

The library is currently self-serve - you pick a book and write the date,  your name & phone number on the card from the back of the book and leave it in the box. It's that simple! You may keep the book as long as you need. We ask that you try to return  or renew the book within 4 weeks. Reference books should remain in the library and should not be checked-out.

 

The library is open when the church is open.  Typical office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 4:00; and of course, on Sundays. If the library is not open, simply ask one of the church staff and they will gladly let you in.

 

 

The United Methodist Women's Reading Program helps educate women about a variety of modern day topics. This year's UMW books are located on the shelf directly across from the entrance to the library. The previous year's books are located on the bottom 3 shelves on the back wall next to the Reference section. There are 4 different reading plans which require the participant to read books from different categories. Don't know what to give that person for their upcoming birthday or anniversary? Donations, Gifts & Memorials will always be gladly accepted. New books are always a welcome addition to the library and make a wonderful lasting gift. The library committee is starting a Wish List and we always welcome suggestions. Did you know that library donations are tax deductible? Just ask for a receipt and we will gladly mail one to you.

 

Volunteers are always welcome and needed. The library committee is open to all who are interested. We also need help cataloging books, people to help organize and maintain the library, and anyone who would love to read to children. Anyone who wants to lend a hand is always welcome. Note: Although the catalog may show a book is currently checked-in, we are not using that software function. The book may still appear in the catalog and has been checked-out.
